Notice-tmo-Members-re-feesThis week saw the fit out of the Shower / Toilet as well as the Ladies Auxiliary Storeroom progress a little further with the plumbing being passed by Council thanks to the help of Reg and our band of merry men who are helping to bring this to a conclusion

It’s nice to get news each month from our friends out west, we keep them in the loop by sending our posts over each time we send them to our members. It looks like they are suffering the effects of CoVid & the Flu as well and they are warning their members to be vigilant as well, so they are not a health threat to themselves as well as others remember as always STAY SAFE.

Photos of the VOaD held on the 7th June 2022 The Rocky Men’s Shed had 14 of the members in attendance out of 18 in total showing the commitment of our shed to the disaster recovery program including our Ladies Auxiliary. As well Barry has hug the AMSA Flag above the entrance door to the Men’s Shed. Also in the gallery is the progression of our fit out by our committed members to the building of our sheds. Then the Ladies Auxiliary Ducks Program for our first Market Day to be held when we can get some time to do it. As well flag-shipped by Gladrock Transport.

Both the men’s shed guys and the ladies auxiliary have been busy making these ducks to sell on our market day that will be held shortly.

The Ladies Auxiliary have come up with a novel idea of making some paper holders to hold paper towels for us to sell at our upcoming market days.

The guys have been busy fitting out the Toilet/ Bathroom on Friday this week Gary, Peter, Ross & Zac all put in a good days work fitting out the above area ready for the tiler to do the waterproofing the shower ready to fit the shower screen as we put the funding in placed to attend to this areas. This has been well managed by our Treasurer. It has been no mean feet putting this all together, I can tell you as she has had many a sleepless night trying to figure out how to juggle the finances.. Ron Wouda has put his thinking cap on working out how to put the 2 kitchens together from the drawing’s that Stuart Hibbert has put together. This has been a well organized team effort by all concerned. ad Les brooks is working on our sign for the front of the building’s and has come up with a further sign that would keep everyone in the loop as to what is going on in the 3 sheds. I have some ideas for the main board for our at the front also, all these will start to come more identifiable in the coming months. We are now starting to clear our old shed out and hope to complete this by the end of July. Our thoughts are also with our members who have experienced stints in hospital Paul Clare & Kevin Cotter get well soon guys.
