Michelle Ryan’s Painting of Joyous Blooms went under the Auctioneers Hammer at the Hi Tea

On the 20th March the Rocky Sports Club hosted a Hi Tea & Fashion Show to raise some funds f or The Rockhampton Men’s Shed Inc. to help with the high cost of plumbing at our new site at The CQ University where we are leasing land. Michelle Ryan kindly donated a painting to help with the funding.

“Joyous Blooms”

Art:       Many Spring blossoms

Size:     90 x 60 cm

“With the promise of spring, flower buds burst into life.  The promise of fruit as the reward for the bloom is secondary to the beauty of the flowers that are first.”

This piece has brought many happy memories in our home and those of our extended families.  The original art currently resides at my Mother’s house in CQ after belonging in the SEQ for some years.

The artwork is a limited edition, 3 of 250, fine art print and has been produced from my original artwork.  It has been professionally printed on 340 gsm, museum grade Illford Galerie canvas to stand the test of time.

Thank you for enjoying my art…

I’m Michelle and am a local Rockhampton artist.

I’ve been a closet creative who brought out my inner artist only when needed to whip up a special gift for family and friends.

You’ll find my developing online art gallery presence and biography on Bluethumb at this link: https://bluethumb.com.au/rascalryans/bio

The intention of my art is always to inspire much love, beauty and a sense of freedom.  I’m honoured to be associated with the wonderful men at the Men’s Shed.

Warmest regards,

Michelle Ryan (aka Shells)

Results of The Hi Tea 20/3/2021

The Hi Tea held at the Rocky Sports Club on our behalf to raise funding for our building project was a resounding success thanks to our hardworking Secretary / Treasurer Marion and our Junior Vice President Murray as well as Shea and her team from The Rocky Sports Club. The funds raised will help with the plumbing works that we will now start to proceed with. The second shed funding is in the laps of the gods with 2 major grants decisions becoming available in April.

Thanks everyone for coming to the Hi Tea and we look forward to our next event and hope it is as entertaining as the Hi Tea.
