James Lawler<\/a><\/strong> is feeling thankful  \u00b7 How time slips away I received this photo from my good friend Col Loughnan ( past member of The Crescents, Deltones, Ayers Rock, and multiple jazz bands as a renowned saxophonist) how young we were then 1951 and the different paths we all took Col to Music and me to the union movement for a decade and as a respected specialist linotype mechanic. I was asked by the Sun Herald in 1974 to become a computer tech and I said ” not for me” what a mistake that was as I left the Herald and went into the Transport business eventually going from driver to State Operations Manager and then going to my own business installing EFTPOS, Golden Casket, and Keno machines before retiring back to Rocky with Marion and eventually starting the Rocky Men’s Rockhampton Mens Shed<\/a> Inc.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
